In this group class the young skaters are reviewing the basics of the all important stride. “Loading our legs” and pushing out to the side until the leg is straight is mentioned along with the fact that one foot is pushing while the other glides.
As typical with young skaters, they often need reminding to bring their feet together and keep the blades in contact with the ice. This allows them to move forward with force down the ice.
This is a typical class setting you will see in any rink around the world.
